This book spoke to me! This was the first book that I read after Brandon had passed. Sarah Dessen is by far one of my favorite authors. In this novel, Dessen does a great job of balancing tragedy and humor. The book also embraces love.
After Masy's dad has passed away, she does everything possible to have as much control over her life as possible. She focuses on things she can control such as her appearance, behavior, and how others view her. It takes her a catering business where the people are chaotic, fun-loving, and unorganized to realize that when her father passed, she stopped living. Read this book to see if Masy and Jason stay together, if Masy's mom lets her start working for the catering business, if Masy will every start to run again, if Masy's mother finally opens up to talk about her husband, and if whats going on between Masy and Wes escalades! It's a MUST read!
